Amazon Prime Video: This is how high the data consumption is
Before you use Amazon Prime Video on the go, you should find out about the data consumption. This is particularly useful for smartphone tariffs with low data volume. We show you how much the streaming consumes.
Data usage from Amazon Prime Video
- You can determine how much data volume the Amazon Prime Video App should consume in the app's settings. Under "Streaming and Download" you can adjust the streaming quality.
- You can choose between "Optimal", "Better", "Good" and "Data Saver". Around 0.46 GB, 0.33 GB, 0.27 GB or 0.14 GB of your mobile data volume is used per hour.
- If you want to save your mobile data, you can download some titles in advance in the WLAN. Simply search for the desired title and tap on "Download" at the top or next to the episode on the download arrow.
- The more data you save when streaming, the lower the video quality. For good quality you should choose at least the "Good" level.
