Amazon Prime Video: Set up parental controls
If your children already use Amazon Prime Video, you should set up parental controls. We'll show you how it works and what you should consider.
Set up parental controls for Amazon Prime Video
With Amazon Prime Video, you can set up a separate parental control for each device. This is particularly helpful if several people in the household want to use Amazon Prime Video.
- First, open the Amazon Prime Video settings.
- Switch to the "Playback Restrictions" category. Here you must first set a PIN for Prime Video, if you have not already done so.
- Select the FSK restriction below that you want to allow without a code. For example, if you are restricted to "FSK 12", you can only watch films classified with FSK 16 with your specified passcode. For content from the age of 18, you must first carry out an age verification using your ID card.
- If you scroll down further, a list of all devices on which you are logged in with your Amazon Prime Video account will appear. Select the devices for which the age restriction should apply.
- Finally click on "Save".
