- Take your Android at hand. Make sure you've already upgraded to Android 10 - previous Android versions don't fully support Dark Mode yet.
- Open the Settings app.
- Now switch to the "Display" menu.
- Finally, tap on the controller to the right of the "Dark Mode" entry to activate the function.
Dark mode is easy on the eyes and battery
The Dark Mode not only makes it more pleasant to look at the smartphone, but is also very practical when it comes to saving battery power. Because the OLED displays do not show black pixels, but simply switch off the pixels in the black areas. This means your smartphone uses less battery.
The dark mode that you can set on Android Q only affects the system apps. However, you can also use WhatsApp in dark mode. You can read how to do this in the next practical tip.
