Android 4.3: How to change app permissions
A new function was introduced in Android 4.3. In the settings you can change the permissions of individual apps - or rather: remove unnecessary permissions from an app. However, the way there is not without obstacles. We show you which tricks you need.
Change permissions of apps under Android 4.3
Although Google has fully integrated the function into the operating system, it cannot be found in the normal way. The so-called "App Ops" is hidden and will probably only be published correctly in a later version.
- The easiest way to get to the corresponding menu is via a third-party app, which acts as a link. "App Ops Starter" is particularly popular here.
- Install and open the app on your Android phone.
- You will now see categories such as "Location" or "Personal", in which the individual apps are listed.
- If you tap on one of the apps and set the blue slider behind an authorization to "OFF", you can revoke the authorization.
