If you want to keep an eye on the battery level of your Android smartphone, you can display the battery status in percent in the status bar. We'll show you how it's done.
Android: battery level in percent not available everywhere
- The battery level is generally only displayed with a decreasing bar under Android. The percentage display function is included in Android, but is deactivated by default.
- Each smartphone manufacturer is therefore responsible for whether or not it offers the function to its users. In the next paragraph you will find instructions for Samsung smartphones.
- If your smartphone manufacturer does not offer an option in the settings, an app will help you. Download the battery percentage display and start the app. If you activate the option, the battery level appears in percent after a restart.
Android always shows the battery level in percent
- First open the settings on your smartphone.
- Tap the "Display" button. You may have to navigate to the "Device" tab at the top of the screen.
- Here you scroll down until you find the sub-item "Battery status in percent". Tap this and make sure that the green check mark is set.
- If you leave the settings, you should find the battery charge in percent in the status bar next to the battery symbol.
