Install Google Play Store on Kindle
You can get Android apps from the Play Store, which you can also install on Kindle devices.
- Activate under “Settings” -> “Device” the item “Allow installation of applications”. Also install the free "Es File Explorer" from the Amazon App Shop.
- Download these Play Store files for Kindle Fire HD and unzip the ZIP archive. Connect the Amazon tablet to your PC and copy the three files "GoogleServicesFramework.apk", "Gplay3.8.17.apk" and "Vending.apk" into the download folder of the Kindle.
- Open the "Es File Explorer" on the Kindle Fire, tap "Tools" -> "Root Explorer" in the left navigation bar, allow root access and select the item "As R / Include W ”.
- Navigate to the download folder, briefly tap on “GoogleServicesFramework.apk” and allow the installation.
- Now keep the “Vending.apk” pressed longer and select the entry "Copy". Then navigate to the "/ | system | app" folder and paste the APK here.
- Check the properties of “Vending.apk”: Hold your finger on the APK for a few seconds and navigate in the bottom bar to “More | Characteristics".
- Under "Permissions" tap "Change" and set the following values: User: Read | Writing | Execute group: Read | - | Execute Others: Read | - | To run
- With a tap of the “Vending.apk” you can now install the file.
- Switch to the "Apps" view on your homescreen, start the Android Market and activate your GMail account.
- If the connection to the Google server is not established, briefly interrupt the WLAN connection and try again - logging in with this trick usually works after two or three attempts.
- You now have the old Android Market on the tablet, for the current version of the Play Store you now have to install the last APK. Open the download folder with "Es File Explorer" and install the file “Gplay3.8.17 .apk ".
- Start the store. The store will automatically update to the latest version after a while.
