Many apps accumulate on an Android smartphone or tablet over time. It is therefore advisable to organize the applications. There are various options for this, depending on the device and the surface used on it. We have put together three tips for you in this article.
1. Customize apps in groups in the app drawer
The app drawer - i.e. the area of the phone in which all apps are listed - can sometimes be divided into groups. However, this depends on the launcher installed in each case. In our example the popular "Nova Launcher" is used.
- In the settings you can define different groups - in this case "Apps", "School", "Work" and "Widgets".
- For example, you can collect all games in one folder and at the same time create more order in the other apps.
2. Create a folder on the Android homescreen
You can sort them into folders so that you can create space on the homescreen and adapt the apps:
- To create a folder on the homescreen, drag one app over another.
- A folder with the two apps will now be created. Additional apps can be added using the "+" symbol.
- Tap the name of the folder to change it as you like. So you can create folders for games, music, messenger or similar.
3. Call up important apps via the lockscreen
You can also get good quick access via the homescreen. With newer versions of Android you can quickly activate this function:
- First switch to the "Settings" on your Android smartphone.
- Then activate "Quick access" under "Intelligent support".
- You can then add additional apps for quick access there.
