That brings the app deactivation
With Android 4.0, Google introduced the option to deactivate unwanted apps. As a result, they can no longer be started and are no longer updated. You will also no longer see them in the app drawer.
- All apps that you have not downloaded yourself and that are not in the protected system area can be deactivated.
- As a rule, you can safely deactivate all bloatware. These are (advertising) apps that your smartphone manufacturer has preinstalled.
How to disable apps
- Open the settings and look for "Application Manager".
- Find the app you want to disable and tap on it.
- If you now find the "Deactivate" button as shown in the picture, the app can be deactivated. For self-installed apps, "Uninstall" is there and for system apps, the deactivate button is gray.
- To reactivate an app, search for the app again in the app overview and then click on "Activate".
