Use Android apps on Windows
You can also use Android apps on Windows. We show you how to bring the apps to your screen in our step-by-step instructions.
Use Android apps on Windows - Bluestacks makes it possible
- Download the free Bluestacks player from our download portal and install the tool.
- Next, log in to the software with your Google account and activate "App synch". Here, too, you have to enter your account data again.
- Click on "Let's go" and search for the app from the Google Store.
- Before starting the download, you have to confirm the access rights (as with the smartphone).
- On the Bluestacks homepage you will now find the downloaded app under "All Apps". You can now start this.
- Note: If an app needs a certain control, you will be shown this when you start the app. For example, tilting movements are replaced by arrow keys.
Call the Android app again later
- With the installation of Bluestacks you also received a new library - "Apps" (see picture). This hides all installed apps that you can open with a double click.
- Alternatively, you can call up the apps again via the Bluestacks start page and "All Apps". In both cases, continue working where you left off last.
Note:
Because the BlueStacks app is still in beta, it sometimes crashes and runs quite slowly. A good alternative is the free tool "Manymo".
