Limit data volume: Set warning about data consumption
You can limit the data consumption in the Android settings with a simple warning. This is how your smartphone informs you of a certain consumption via push notification:
- Call up the "data consumption" of your smartphone via the settings.
- Select the "Mobile" tab.
- In the diagram you can move the orange dividing line up and down as you like.
- Set the desired number here. For example, it makes sense for you to be notified of about half of a data volume of 1 GB. So you can see if there is still enough volume for the rest of the month.
Limit mobile data by limit
If you don't just get a warning, but want to limit the data connection completely, you should set a limit:
- To do this, open the data usage settings again.
- If you then activate the checkbox behind "Set limit", you can configure the limit in the diagram with the red dividing line.
- If you have reached the specified amount, your mobile data connection is automatically switched off.
