Android: delete downloads - so it'll work
On Android, you will quickly lose space if you don't delete your downloads regularly. This is possible using an app directly on your smartphone or on your PC. In this practical tip, we will show you how to delete the downloads on Android.
How to delete downloads on Android
To delete downloads from Android, you need to connect your phone to your computer. You can then open the download folder there. Alternatively, you can manage the downloads directly on the smartphone using an app. We will show you how to do this here.
- First download a file explorer for your smartphone. The free ES File Explorer for Android is well suited for this task.
- Open the app after installation.
- Scroll to the "Download" folder and tap on it.
- You will now see all the downloads that are on your smartphone. Select all the downloads you want to delete. To do this, simply press and hold the relevant download until it has been marked.
- Then select "Delete" in the lower area. Confirm this process if necessary.
