Own music as a ringtone on Android
- If you do not want to choose the start of a song as a ringtone, you need the corresponding section. You can easily create this section on the PC using the mp3DirectCut tool.
- Alternatively, you can use the free Ringdroid app on your smartphone. Select the song from your smartphone, cut it to size and save the ringtone separately on your phone.
- A length of at least 30-40 seconds is recommended for the ringtone. Alternatively, you can simply select an entire song from your library.
- You either transfer the section from your PC to your smartphone or save it on your device after making it with Ringdroid. Then install the ES File Explorer app.
- Now open the settings on your Android smartphone and select the "Sounds" menu item. Under "Ringtone" select "ES File Explorer" and navigate to the directory in which your sound is saved.
- Alternatively, switch to the "Music" category above. In many cases you will also find the cut song here. If you want to choose a complete song as a ringtone, you will find it here.
- If you save the process, your new ringtone is set. You can test the ringtone with a call.
