Android emulator for the PC
If you would like to use the Android on your PC, you can download a corresponding emulator for it. We'll show you where to find one and how it works.
ARC Welder: Android emulator for Google Chrome
With the free ARC Welder you can extend the Google Chrome browser with a well-functioning Android emulator. The project is currently still in the beta phase and may still have some errors.
- First download the ARC Welder for Google Chrome. Simply click on the "Add" button in the top right corner.
- At the bottom left of the taskbar you will now find all apps from Google Chrome. Open the ARC Welder there.
- Click on the "Add your APK" button and select it. The APK files of the respective apps can be found on Beste-Apps.CHIP.de or with the APK downloader.
- Now you can switch between landscape and portrait mode before you start the app with the "Launch App" button.
Manymo: Android emulator in the browser
The "Manymo" emulators give you access to numerous virtual smartphones in various display sizes as well as a tablet. You can also change the Android version:
- Open the "Manymo" web app.
- Decide on a format. All sizes are represented, from a mini display with an external keyboard, to a 5-inch smartphone, to a tablet.
- Under each device you will find the "Launch" button with a small arrow next to it. If you click on it, you can also select an Android system. Depending on the device, the selection options range from Android 2.1 to 4.2.
- If you have decided on a device and a version, the emulator starts in a new tab. After a short loading time you can use the device almost without restrictions. Surf the Internet, play around with the settings or use apps. Only the camera app of course does not work to the full extent.
BlueStacks App Player - Use Android apps in the emulator
- With the "BlueStacks App Player" you cannot explore the surroundings of the Android system. However, the program lets you use Android apps on your computer.
- Numerous apps already run perfectly on the player - for example "Evernote" and "Fruit Ninja".
