Android: fix error code 505 - how it works
If error 505 occurs when installing Android apps, it can now be fixed quite easily. We'll show you how it's done.
Fix error code 505 on Android
If you try to install an app, you will receive the following error: "Unexpected error code when installing the app: -505". This problem can occur with almost all apps.
- The error is related to the app permissions on Android Lollipop. Two apps cannot access the same permissions at the same time.
- For example, if you have installed the Facebook app and want to download a game with Facebook integration, this is not possible due to error 505. Both apps therefore access the same authorization.
- With Android 5.0.2 the problem should usually already be solved. For some apps, it may also be necessary to update the manufacturer.
