Android: Google Play Store error 491 - what to do?
The Google Play Store error message 491 occurs repeatedly with Android users. However, the error is relatively easy to fix.

If you experience Google Play Store error 491, first delete your Google account from your device and log in again. To do this, open the settings.
- Select your account under "Accounts" and tap on "Remove account". If you have configured multiple Google accounts on your device, make sure you select the correct account.
- Then log on to your cell phone using the account you just deleted.
- Now select the "Apps" menu item in the settings and tap on the Google Play store app.
- Select "Clear Data" and "Clear Cache". Also perform this step for the "Google Services Framework" and for the "Download Manager".
- Restart your Android phone at the end of the process.
If you have other problems with your smartphone, resetting to the factory settings often helps. However, you should first create a complete system backup.
