Android: Google Plus stopped - this may be the reason
Google Plus keeps you in touch with your friends. If the app is stopped, there may not be enough memory available. In this practical tip, we will show you what you can do about the error message.
Google Plus stopped on Android - what to do?
- First, make sure the app is up to date. You can check this in Google Play.
- In most cases it is sufficient to restart your smartphone or tablet briefly.
- If this does not remedy the situation, you can try to delete the data of the app. To do this, go to the settings of your smartphone> "Apps" and tap on "Google Plus".
- First select the "Force stop" button as well as "Clear data" and "Clear cache".
- Afterwards you have to start the app again and log in as all stored data has been deleted.
- If this method does not help, there may be a problem with the app. You can solve it by clicking on "Uninstall updates" in the app overview. This will reset the app to default settings.
- You will then need to update them through Google Play to use Google Plus again.
- If these tips are unsuccessful, you will have to do without the app. Select the "Deactivate" button in the app overview. To continue using Google Plus, you have to log in via the browser.
