Android: K-9 Mail - how to change your signature
The K-9 Android mail client uses standard signatures that you can easily change or remove. Everyone has certainly received an email in which it is noted which smartphone sent the email. This practical tip shows you how you can switch off this annoying feature of the K-9 email client.
Standard signatures in K-9 Mail
If you have chosen K-9 Mail on your Android and have set up your email account, the client automatically uses a standardized signature when sending emails, which reads:
- "This message was sent from my Android phone with K-9 mail"
Change signature at K-9 Mail
To remove the signature or replace it with your own:
- Select your email account and go to "Options".
- Then go to Settings and select the category "Account Settings".
- Then go to "Compose Message" to click on "Compose Message".
- In the menu window that appears, you can change the signature at will or even deactivate it entirely.
- Then simply press "Back" so that K-9 accepts the changed signature and saves it.
