You can delete your Android contacts very easily thanks to the link with Google. In this guide, we will show you the procedure on your cell phone as well as on your computer.
Delete contacts on the Android smartphone
In the app directory you will find the "Contacts" app. You can delete the contacts here:
- Scroll to the contact you are looking for in the Contacts app or type the name in the search bar at the top.
- Tap on the name and open the detailed view. In the upper right corner, select the character with three dots on top of one another - this opens further settings.
- Deleting this contact is the first suggestion.
- In the next window, Google asks you whether you want to permanently delete the contact. Confirm with "Delete".
Delete Android contacts in the browser
By linking your Android account to Google, you can easily delete your contact in the browser at //contacts.google.com/.
- The procedure remains pretty much the same. Scroll to the contact you want or type it into the search bar.
- If you move your mouse pointer over the contact, additional options appear in the same line on the right.
- Call up the additional menu via the three dots and tap on "delete".
- Confirm "Delete" again
