Android headphones too quiet - what to do?
This practical tip shows you what you can do if the sound of your headphones on your Android device is too quiet.
Try your own headphones instead of the supplied ones
- If your music on the Android smartphone with the headphones is too quiet, it is often due to the rather simple headphones that were included. These don't offer as good volume and quality as higher quality headphones.
- Therefore, try other headphones if you have them.
- If you don't have any other headphones, try the tips below to increase the volume on the software side.
Amplify MP3s on your smartphone: Speaker Boost
With the help of the free Speaker Boost app, you can increase the playback volume of music on your Android device.
- With a practical slider, you can use the app to increase the output volume for music and video playback as well as for the ringtone. This works for both headphones and your android's speakers.
- When using the app, make sure that you do not expose your hearing to increased volume for long periods. This can lead to irreparable damage to your hearing.
- Your headphones or your loudspeaker can also be damaged if the playback is too loud. Use is therefore at your own risk.
Alternative: set Android Equalizer
As an alternative to apps with a volume booster, you can also first try to adjust the volume with the integrated equalizer.
- To do this, open your music app and tap Settings.
- There you will find an equalizer, sometimes called an audio effect.
- In the equalizer you can adjust the volume under "User-defined" by moving the controls.
In the next practical tip, we will introduce you to the best Android apps with which you can recognize music.
