Android: How to delete browser cookies
This practical tip shows you how to delete cookies from your android's browser.
How to delete cookies from the standard browser of your Android smartphone
- Open the standard "Internet" app on your smartphone or tablet. In older versions of Android this is often called "browser".
- Tap your android's menu or options button. For example, on the Samsung Galaxy S4, this is the left softkey button.
- Then tap on "Settings" and call up the "Privacy" button.
- Here, tap on "Delete personal data".
- To delete the cookies, tick the entry "Cookies and site data".
- If you confirm with "OK", the saved cookies are deleted.
Remove cookies from the Chrome browser
If you use Chrome, you can delete cookies in a similar way:
- Follow the first four steps as described above.
- In the "Privacy" window, however, tap on "Clear browser data" at the bottom.
- Check "Cookies / Delete data" and confirm the deletion with "Delete".
