Android M: Edit app permissions - how it works
With the new Android M, you can edit permissions for installed apps individually and thus protect your privacy. For example, by depriving an app of its right to be verified.
Android M: Edit permissions of apps
- Open the "Settings" via the app overview.
- Here you select "Apps" and then "Advanced".
- Now you will find the "App permissions" selection that you tap.
- In the new overview, you can see authorization categories such as "Sensors", "Location" or "Contacts". Select the desired category to get to the app overview (see picture).
- Here you can flip the switch behind an app to edit the authorizations. If the switch is blue, the app can access the respective authorization. With a gray switch, you have withdrawn the rights.
We'll show you even more cool features in Android M on the next page.
