LOST.DIR: restore files - does it work?
- If you want to restore the files in the LOST.DIR folder, this usually works without problems.
- To do this, you must first connect your smartphone to the computer via USB and open the LOST.DIR folder.
- You will see files there that have no extension. Right click on any file.
- Select "Rename" and give the file any name and the extension ".webp".
- This will make the file a JPEG image and you can open the file.
- If the file is not an image, you will get an error and you should try the file extension ".mp3" for music.
- Note: If you have deleted the contents or the entire LOST.DIR folder, you can unfortunately not easily restore it. You can find a manual here.
