Android: print SMS history - is that possible?
If you want to print out the SMS history of your Android smartphone, you have several options: You can print using the PC. However, this is somewhat cumbersome. In addition, network printers in the area can be conveniently accessed via the app. We present a few solutions.
Print SMS history using the Android app
You can print SMS directly with the "PrinterShare" app:
- With the app you can print SMS or emails with WLAN or Bluetooth printers in your area.
- You can also use a remote to access a printer that is connected to your PC. For this, the associated "software" must be installed on your PC.
- The free version is limited to 20 pages. To be able to print an unlimited amount, you need the premium key, which is subject to a charge.
Print via SMS export
Printing via SMS export involves a little more effort. Several apps from the Playstore are available for this. We give you two examples:
- "SMS Backup +" saves your SMS, MMS and WhatsApp messages in your Gmail account. In this way you can conveniently print the messages on your PC like emails.
- "SMS to Text Pro" saves your SMS, for example as a text or Excel file on the SD card of your smartphone. The free version is limited to the export of TXT and CSV files. You can then open, edit and print out the file on your PC using programs such as Excel. However, this path is a bit cumbersome.
Printing via MyPhoneExplorer
"MyPhoneExplorer" is one of the most popular programs for synchronizing the mobile phone with the PC. In addition to contacts and appointments, SMS can also be saved and managed. Useful side effect: you can print out the messages. Here you can find the downloads:
