Play Android games under Windows - how it works
You can also play Android games on your computer screen under Windows. All you need is a small app player.
Play Android games on the Windows PC
With the free "BlueStacks App Player" Android apps also run on your computer:
- Download the "BlueStacks App Player" from our download area and install the tool.
- Now look for the game. Before you can download a game for the first time, you need to register with your Google account or create a new account. You also have to activate "App Sync" and log in again with your account.
- Then click "Lets go" and you will be redirected to the Google Play page. There you have to accept the terms of use of the game (or the app), just like with a smartphone. Then the download will start.
- Then go back to the BlueStacks home page. With a click on the button "All Apps" all installed games and apps are displayed.
- If you start a game now, you will first see the game control for your PC. All touch gestures and smartphone movements are replaced by different buttons.
- You can hide the display with "Don't show again for this app" for the next game.
Open Android games on Windows
To start the game again later and continue playing, you have two options:
- Call up your installed apps from the BlueStacks homepage. Then click on the game and it will start.
- In Windows 7 you will find the "Apps" tab in the libraries. It hides all installed BlueStacks apps that you can open with a double click.
Note:
The BlueStacks app is still in an early beta version, so it sometimes crashes or runs slowly. Alternatively, you can also use the free tool "Manymo".
In our video tutorial we show you how to use Android as an operating system, for example on a notebook or ultrabook.
