Android: change language - how it works
You can change the system language at any time on an Android smartphone or tablet. The language of the auto correction can also be freely adjusted. In this article we show you how to do this.
Change system language on Android
If you are using a smartphone or tablet with Android 7.0 or newer, you can search the Settings app specifically. Enter the keyword "language" there. You will then find the correct settings. Alternatively, proceed as follows:
- Open the Settings app on your smartphone. You can recognize this by the gear symbol.
- Tap on "System" and then on "Language and input".
- Then tap on "Language" above and select the desired system language. If you have activated several languages, you have to put the primary language (usually German) in the first place.
- Tip: If you also want to change the language of the autocorrection, in the section "Keyboard and input methods" tap the keyboard whose language you want to change.
You have to change the language separately in the Google app. You then successfully switched your entire operating system to another language. Note: The article refers to Android 8.0 on the Huawei P10.
