Android: copy and paste text
Copying texts and pasting them elsewhere is also possible on an Android smartphone and, above all, very easy. For example, you can send a text section from an SMS to several people via a social network. You can read how this works in this practical tip.
How can I copy text on Android?
- First, tap twice on one of the words to be marked, similar to a double click, until it is highlighted in green.
- Two green cursors now appear at the beginning and end of the word (see screenshot). By dragging the former to the left at the beginning of the text to be copied and placing the second cursor at the end of the text to be copied, the words enclosed in it are marked and thus made ready for copying.
- The copying process is continued by pressing the "Copy" button in the newly opened box (see square marking in the screenshot)
Paste copied text elsewhere - here's how
- To do this, you have to change to the place where the copied text is to be pasted. You can also open another app, such as a messenger or an email program. When you have found the desired position or the corresponding text window, long tap on the screen.
- Now a small box opens again, in which you select the "Paste" button to complete the copy and paste process. The copied text now appears completely at the desired location.
