Android: Turn off update messages
If you switch off the update messages on Android, you will no longer be automatically notified of available updates to apps. So you decide yourself when to check for updates for your smartphone apps.
Play Store: Switch off update messages for Android app
The Android app updates come from the Google Play Store. Therefore, these notifications can also be switched off there:
- Start the Google Play Store app.
- Open the menu bar at the top left using the sandwich symbol and select "Settings" here.
- Under "Notifications" remove the checkmark next to "App updates available" (see screenshot) to switch off the update messages.
- If you have activated "Automatic app updates" above and do not want to receive any notifications about the automated events, you must also remove the tick from "Apps automatically updated".
