Android: delete pre-installed apps
This article shows you how to delete pre-installed apps on your Android smartphone. First of all: Unfortunately, some installed apps cannot be deleted easily.
Delete apps pre-installed on Android - this is how you proceed
Apps that are already preinstalled on the smartphone - so-called bloatware - consume a lot of storage space. There is nothing you can do about it, but at least you can prevent bloatware updates from taking up more memory. You should therefore deactivate the applications. We'll tell you how to turn off the unwanted apps.
- Open the "Settings" and there in the "Applications" area tap on the "Application Manager".
- Under "Installed apps" you can see all apps installed on your smartphone.
- Tap on the respective app and then on "Uninstall".
- With some pre-installed apps you will not find an "Uninstall" button there.
- In this case, you can only "Uninstall updates" and the "Deactivate" app.
- Such apps can only be completely removed if you root your mobile phone. In doing so, you lose the guarantee on your device and risk that your smartphone will no longer work.
- If you decide to root your smartphone, you can delete the pre-installed apps at this point in the settings.
- Note: If you root your smartphone and then want to remove apps, then you should be very careful. If you delete important system apps, your device may not work.
