Android Wear: block all notifications
If you no longer want to receive any notifications on your smartwatch, proceed as follows:
- On the home screen of your smartwatch - i.e. where the time is shown - swipe once from top to bottom.
- Now you will see some icons for the setting options of your smartwatch. Tap on the circle with the small line in the middle. Now the "do not disturb" mode is activated and you will no longer receive any notifications on your smart watch.
Block notifications from certain apps
It is also possible to only switch off the messages of certain apps:
- Long tap a notification on your smartwatch that you no longer want to see on your wearable.
- Now activate the switch for the option "Block all notifications". You will therefore no longer receive any notifications from this app. The next paragraph explains how to reactivate the notifications.
Block certain notifications through the Android Wear app
Of course, you can also switch off messages from certain apps via the Android Wear app:
- To do this, open the Android Wear app and tap on the gear in the top right.
- Now tap on "Disable app notifications". Here you can see which apps are no longer allowed to send messages to your smartwatch. If you have unintentionally blocked an app, you can unlock it by clicking on the cross next to the corresponding entry.
- To disable certain notifications, press the plus sign below and select the app from which you no longer want to receive notifications on your smart watch.
