Every now and then, YouTube may stop on your Android phone. In this article, we will tell you what you can do in such a case.
YouTube app paused on Android: you can do that
- If YouTube stops on your Android smartphone, you should first check whether you have the latest version of the app installed.
- To do this, open the application in the Google Play Store and choose "Update" if the option is available.
- Reinstalling the application can also help. To do this, delete the app from your device and then download the current YouTube version. We recommend that you restart the device afterwards.
- If that doesn't help either, open the application manager in the settings of your smartphone and open the YouTube app there. Clear the cache and the saved data under "Storage".
- On some devices, a tap on "Uninstall updates" can help.
