Attach attachments to e-mail: this is particularly quick
Every minute often counts: Here we explain how you can quickly and efficiently attach file attachments to an email.
Attach file attachments using Windows Explorer
- Select all the files you want directly in Windows Explorer. You can add files to a selection by holding down the CTRL key and then clicking the file.
- Right-click on it and select the context command "Send to" -> "E-mail recipient".
- If you have Outlook open in the background, you can also drag and drop the selected items from Windows Explorer to the "Email" button.
- You can even send the current document directly from Office programs via "File" -> "Save and Send" -> "Send by email".
In any case, a new message is opened in Outlook, to which the files are already attached. All you have to do is add the notification.
- If you have set up another email client as the default, the new message will be created there, provided the program supports the fast route.
Precisely because this method works so quickly and efficiently, people in a hurry like to forget to fill in the subject line. For this reason, you should double-check that all the necessary information has actually been entered before shipping.
