Create animation with Keynote - so it'll work
In Keynote you can easily create animations and make your presentation more lively. You can read about the options you have in this practical tip.
Keynote: add animation to elements
You can breathe life into your presentation with animations. Find out where to find the effects in Keynote here.
- In the top right corner you can choose one of the three sidebars "Format", "Animate" and "Document". Click on "Animate" here.
- Click the element you want to animate. This can be, for example, a text, an image or a table.
- You can then choose between "Structure", "Action" and "Dismantling" in the right sidebar.
- With "Structure" you can choose an effect how an element should appear. For example, it may come in from the bottom.
- If you choose "Action", you can choose an effect that, for example, enlarges an element during the performance.
- With "Dismantle" you select an animation with which the element disappears from the picture.
- Click on "Add effect" in the selected tab to get a list of the available effects.
- Once you have selected an effect, you can determine the duration and direction depending on the selected effect.
Keynote: create animation during slide transition
Equivalent to the element effects, you can also choose animations for the slide transition.
- Here too, select the "Animate" tab in the top right.
- Make sure that you have not selected an element on the current slide. Simply click anywhere outside the slide to deselect.
- Click Add Effect to select an item from the list of all available effects.
- Again, you can adjust the duration and direction for most transition effects.
- If you want a different effect, just click "Change". In contrast to the element effects, you can of course only choose a transition effect.
