Anno Online: This is how advancement rights work
If you level residential buildings to a higher level, you also invite higher residents who are necessary for the success of your settlement, but who also have more and more complex requirements than their previous tenants.
- In general, the available rights of ascent depend on the number of dwelling houses on the level below. The number of your farmhouses determines how many of these houses can be turned into craft houses:
- That is 50 percent of farmers to artisans, 50 percent of artisans to merchants and only 40 percent of merchants to the nobility.
- So for ten farmhouses you get five rights of promotion to craft houses. In theory, merchants need 12.5 houses for five access rights, so you get these five alternately when building 12 and 13 houses.
- Before this percentage conversion begins, however, you need a minimum of fully supplied residents: 250 farmers / 32 farmhouses for the first craftsmen, 1, 500 craftsmen / 75 craft houses for the first traders and 3, 000 merchants / 84 merchant houses for the first nobles.
- Complete satisfaction is made up of certain resources - such as fish for farmers -, general basic food and clothing supplies, and certain types of buildings that must be nearby.
Tips on advancement rights in Anno Online
Basically, ascent rights invite you to let a house rise at every opportunity. However, you should also think long-term, since only ten percent of your farmhouses can become noble houses and of course you want to take good care of them.
- The last quest on population numbers targets 4, 000 nobles and 90 noble houses. For this you need 225 merchant houses. This means that in the course of the settlement 450 craft houses and 900 farmhouses follow.
- Note that you can also build certain monuments such as the fortress to increase the number of residents in surrounding buildings. In this way, you make well-supplied areas even more effective and reduce the number of necessary residential buildings accordingly.
- With each ascent, the demands of the residents change, so that you can demolish certain supply buildings over time if the surrounding residential buildings have all risen to the point where they can do without them. However, make sure that the timing is right: if you demolish a monument too early, perhaps not all of the residents have been able to ascend high enough.
- Accordingly, it is often worthwhile to create metropolitan areas in which you can move all residential buildings side by side to higher levels. This means that needs can be easily controlled and covered in bulk.
- Like certain utility buildings, you can demolish apartment buildings if you have sufficient buildings at the higher levels. In this way you create a bitterly necessary building site that farmhouses only needlessly occupy.
- Please note, however, that although you will not lose your current rights of ascent, you will not be able to gain new ones until you have rebuilt the demolished buildings: only when you have exceeded the old maximum number of farmhouses, for example, will there be further rights of ascent to craftsmen,
