- The banks are required by law to check the transfers. This is intended to make money laundering and tax evasion more difficult.
- The account number is always displayed for online transfers. In addition, banks in Germany are obliged to state the name of the sender when making transfers.
Other ways to transfer funds
- If the amount you want to send to someone once is less than EUR 2, 000.00, you can easily make a cash payment to the desired account.
- Most banks do not require legitimation. To remain anonymous, however, you should not do this in your own bank branch.
- Alternatively, you can of course send an envelope with the money anonymously by post or throw it into the mailbox yourself. However, it must be expected in the mail that the letter can also be lost.
- Prepaid credit cards are another option. These are loaded with a credit and then it is possible to transfer money without having to reveal your own identity.
