If you want to surf anonymously on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you can activate the "private mode" in Safari. In this mode, the history and the cache are not saved at all, so you do not have to delete them manually. We show you how to activate the mode.
Safari: Surf anonymously in private mode
The iOS version of the Safari browser also has a private mode in which you leave no traces. You have to activate the incognito tabs first:
- To do this, open Safari on your iPhone or iPad and tap the page icon at the bottom right to open a new tab.
- If you then tap the "Private" button at the bottom left, the private mode is activated.
- All web pages that you open in this mode are not saved in the history or cache.
- You can always switch between normal and private mode. The tabs are not closed when changing.
