If a call doesn't arrive, it can be really annoying. This practical tip shows you what you can do about it.
Calls do not arrive - you can do that
- First, check whether you have a sufficiently strong network and whether you have not accidentally put the caller on the blacklist.
- Restart your cell phone. Many problems can already be solved by this.
- Check whether you have set up call forwarding. In such cases, you should deactivate all call diversions.
- Make sure that forwarding to your mailbox is working properly. Some providers have the option of generally forwarding calls to the mailbox. In this case, you can change this in the customer portal of your network operator or contact the provider directly.
- If nothing has helped, switch off your Android smartphone, hold down the power home button and the volume up button at the same time until you are in recovery mode. Navigate to the "Wipe Cache Partition" item with the volume up and volume down button and confirm this with the power button. Then restart your device.
- If that doesn't work either, try whether it works with another SIM card in your cell phone. If this is the case, contact your provider. Then something is probably wrong with your card.
WhatsApp calls don't get through - you can do that
Voice calls via WhatsApp are becoming increasingly popular. All the more annoying when they don't work. Here's what you can do:
- First check whether you have a sufficiently good internet connection. This is important because all calls to WhatsApp are made over the Internet.
- You may also have been blocked by the contact you are trying to call. So your calls do not get through and are not even shown to anyone.
- Restart your cell phone. Many problems can already be solved by this.
- Check whether you have the current WhatsApp version. If you haven't updated the Messenger app in a while, you should open the Google Play Store or Apple Store and download the latest version of the app.
- If none of the options apply, it may also be that WhatsApp is malfunctioning. In this case there is nothing you can do and you have to wait until the fault has been rectified.
