Apex Legends: Fix Engine Error - Here's how
The engine error in Apex Legends puts the patience of many players to the test, as it will no longer open the game. We'll help you fix the annoying bug.
Fix engine error with registry command
The engine error with the error code 0x887A0006 - “DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG” in Apex Legends is a problem related to incorrect commands. To fix this, you can create a registry command yourself, for which you only need editor or notepad:
- To create the Registry Command, first open a new editor or notepad file.
- Now you have to enter a different command line in the file depending on your bit architecture.
- 32-bit : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ GraphicsDrivers] "TdrDelay" = dword: 00000008
- 64-bit : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ GraphicsDrivers] "TdrDelay" = hex (b): 08.00.00.00.00.00.00.00
- Now click on the "Save As" command and save the document under the name "fix.reg".
- After the file has been saved, you can close the document and double-click it again. Now the Register Command should install after your confirmation and fix the error permanently.
- Alternatively, you can try to repair your game through Origin or run it as an administrator. These solutions also work for many players.
