Apex Legends: "Party not ready" - how to fix the error
As with many online games, Apex Legends is not safe from bugs. The "Party Not Ready" error is particularly annoying because it does not allow you to join a game. We'll show you how to fix it.
Apex Legends: "Party not ready" - these workarounds help
Apex Legends has had one or two bugs that cloud the gaming experience since its release. The "party not ready" error is one of them and luckily can be fixed with a few workarounds. Here you can find out what the bug is all about and what you can do to play undisturbed:
- The "Party Not Ready" bug is currently appearing on all platforms and is preventing players from starting from one round to the next. It is irrelevant whether you are part of a party or register for a match alone.
- If you are part of a party, leave it and create a new one by inviting yourself or by inviting the other players to your lobby. Register your group for a match again. You should now be able to join a game.
- If you are playing alone or the workaround above did not work, go to your game settings. You can find this via the gear wheel at the bottom right. Leave it again and register again for a game.
- Switch to other menus like the Store or the Legends tab. Repeat this a few times, and then try to join a game again.
- Even if it's annoying, the safest way to fix the bug is to restart the game. If you install your game on an SDD hard drive, you'll be back in action in a matter of seconds and won't have to deal with long loading times. Another practical tip will tell you exactly what the difference between an SDD and an HDD hard drive is.
