Apex Legends doesn't start? If you have a problem with games in the Origin launcher, there can be various causes. We present the most common solutions here.
What to do if Apex Legends doesn't start?
There are several solutions if Apex Legends does not start. Especially if you don't get an error message, you sometimes have to try something around to be able to play again.
- First of all, check if your hardware meets the system requirements for Apex Legends. If this is not the case, the game cannot start.
- Then check whether there is an update in progress for the game in Origin. Updates are displayed in the launcher at the bottom left. In this case, wait until it is fully installed.
- Restart your computer. Sometimes a memory error prevents programs and games from starting. The restart will fix this.
- In Origin, click Apex Legends in your game library, then click the gear icon next to the play button. Select "Repair" here. If there is an error with the game files, it will be fixed.
- Click on "Update game" in the same place. You may have deactivated the automatic updates.
- Also update the driver of your graphics card.
- However, if the graphics card is already up to date, try a rollback instead. This means that you upgrade the driver to the previous version. To do this, right-click on the graphics card in Device Manager and select "Properties". Then click on "Previous version" in the "Driver" tab.
- Check whether you have a pending Windows update and carry it out if necessary.
- If none of this worked, uninstall Apex using the Origin launcher and reinstall the game.
- If the error also occurs with other Origin games, you must reinstall Origin instead.
