In Apex Legends, nobody can use fuzzy and washed-out textures. After all, it is very important to recognize opponents early on. We will remedy the situation and show you what you can do if you are affected by this graphics problem.
What you can do about blurry textures in Apex Legends
Everyone is talking about Battle Royal games at the moment. The most prominent representatives are Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). Now Electronic Arts (EA) wants to get involved and sends Apex Legends into the race. And as is often the case with new releases, they like to suffer from bugs and errors at first. With Apex Legends, for example, you may have to deal with blurred and washed-out textures. We tell you what you can do about it in most cases.
- The game gives you the opportunity to sniff the training mode before all the data has been downloaded. However, this also has the disadvantage that the high-resolution textures (HD textures) are also not yet installed . Be patient and wait for all files to be downloaded and installed. Then the problem may have solved itself.
- If this is not the case, you will find one of the most common causes in the graphics settings. If you have activated "FPS target for adaptive resolution" there, the game tries to keep the refresh rate (FPS) constant. The image quality is reduced, which can lead to blurred textures. Deactivate this option by setting the slider to zero.
- If you have set "FPS target for adaptive resolution" to zero, you may have to activate the graphics option "TSAA" (anti-aliasing) to get rid of the blurred textures. This only works if "FPS target for adaptive resolution" is deactivated, otherwise TSAA cannot be activated and is grayed out.
- If nothing helps, EA customer service will help you.
