Undo app update on Android - how it works
With just a few simple steps, you can undo the app updates on Android:
- Open the "Settings" on your smartphone.
- Switch to "Manage apps" here to display the installed apps.
- Look for the app whose update you want to undo.
- Tap the name for more settings.
- Now you have to select the "Uninstall updates" button so that all app updates are uninstalled.
- You can then search for the respective .apk file on the Internet so that you do not reinstall the latest update of the app.
iOS: Undo app update - you have to do that
You can also undo an app update on iOS, but this is a little more complicated. But iTunes will help you:
- Take a look at your app collection in iTunes. If you have saved the older version of the app here, you can easily install it from here.
- However, you must first remove the app from your iPhone before installing the older version through iTunes.
- However, if you have not saved an older version of the app in iTunes, you have another option.
- The prerequisite for this is a second iPhone with the older version of the app.
- Remove the app from iTunes beforehand and connect the iPhone to the PC.
