If you have problems with your Apple AirPods or if you want to sell the headphones, you can reset them. This deletes all the data stored on the Bluetooth headphones and the paired devices. You can find out how to do this in this practical tip.
Hard reset: reset Apple AirPods - how it works
Regardless of whether you have a bad connection, the music is noisy or the battery of your AirPods runs out too quickly - a reset often helps miracles. However, please note that this will remove all pairings with your Apple headphones. You will need to reconnect the AirPods to your iPhone after the reset. If you want to perform the reset, proceed as follows:
- First insert the AirPods into the charging case. If your headphones are completely discharged, wait a few minutes until the battery level has increased to around 10 percent.
- Then press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for 15 seconds in the middle.
- As soon as the status indicator on the AirPod case flashes yellow and white alternately, you can release the button.
- Finally, remove the AirPods from the case and connect them to your iPhone again.
If the AirPods continue to cause problems despite a reset, you can send in the headphones. Before doing so, however, you should check your Apple guarantee so as not to be surprised by an unexpected bill.
