Connect Apple HomePod to Mac - one click is enough
Apple's HomePod is designed for easy operation. The smart speaker can be connected to your Mac accordingly.
- Make sure your Mac and HomePod are on the same WiFi.
- If you want to play your music via the Apple speaker, click on the speaker icon in the menu bar of your Mac and select the HomePod for the audio output.
- As long as you do not change this setting, the sound of your Mac will be transferred to the HomePod and played there.
Connect multiple HomePods to MacOS
If you have two or more HomePods for stereo playback, you can control the two devices via the iTunes app on your Mac.
- To do this, click the AirPlay icon in iTunes (see photo).
- If you activate all of the HomePods displayed here, your music will be streamed through both speakers.
- Note: In this case, too, Mac and HomePod must of course be in the same WiFi network.
