Apple HomePod: Deactivate Siri - Here's how

The voice assistant Siri can be deactivated at any time on the Apple HomePod. This prevents the HomePod from always listening and sending data to Apple. The smart speaker then only serves as a speaker.
Disable Siri on the Apple HomePod
So that you can only operate the HomePod with your voice, Apple's voice assistant Siri is activated by default. As soon as you say "Hey Siri", the speaker activates and you can issue commands. If you do not want this, you must deactivate the feature.
- To do this, start the pre-installed home app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Switch to the "Rooms" tab and tap on the room in which the HomePod is located.
- Find the desired HomePod from the list and hold down its entry for a few seconds.
- In the selection menu, tap on "Details".
- Then scroll down a little and deactivate via the switch at "Pay attention to Hey Siri".
- Note: If you want to reactivate Siri, switch the feature on again using this menu.
