Stereo sound with two Apple HomePods
With just a few steps you can significantly improve the music experience on your HomePods.
- To do this, open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad and group the two HomePods for the stereo pair in a room. To do this, hold down the corresponding entries in the app, click on "Room" and then enter the desired name.
- Then long press on one of the HomePods for the stereo pair and tap on "Settings".
- Then select the menu item »Create stereo pair« and then click on the second HomePod.
- Now specify which HomePod should represent the right or left side. Then click "Back" and then "Done" to complete the setup.
Dissolve stereo pair - that's how it's done
If something went wrong during the setup or if you want to use the HomePods independently, you can ungroup them again.
- To do this, open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad and hold the corresponding entry pressed.
- Tap here on "Settings" and scroll down until you find the item "No longer group devices". After you have confirmed the following message, you can use the HomePods individually again.
