Connecting and setting up the Apple HomePod is just as easy and intuitive as with all other Apple products. You only need an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iOS 11.2.5 and newer.

To ensure easy setup, you need to consider these things:
- You need an iOS version 11.2.5 or higher on your device.
- Verify that you are signed in to iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your Apple ID, have the iCloud keychain turned on, and two-factor authentication is enabled.
- Make sure you have Bluetooth turned on and connected to your home WiFi.
- If necessary, download the Home App from the AppStore.

Set up your HomePod in these four simple steps:
- Plug in the HomePod and wait until the HomePod emits an acoustic signal and a flickering white light appears on the top of the HomePod.
- Unlock your iOS device and keep it close to the HomePod. Now a window with an illustrated HomePod appears on the lower half of your device. Click on "Configure".
- Select the room in which the HomePod is located. Activate "Personal Requests" if you want to be able to make calls and send messages with the device.
- Setup takes a few seconds. When the HomePod is ready, it greets you. Now you can start.
