iPhone & iPad: How to clear cache on iOS
Depending on the app, you have to proceed differently when deleting the cache:
- Safari: Open the Settings app and under "Safari" tap on "Clear history and website data" (see image).
- Chrome: In the settings of the app (button with three dots) you have to select the "Settings" and then "Privacy" items. Then select "Clear browser data" at the bottom.
- iCab Mobile: Tap the gear icon and open "Private data / Access protection". Here you can press "Clear Local Storage".
- Firefox iOS: Tap the "Settings" button with the three dashes and switch to the "Settings". Now select the "Delete private data" option under "Data protection" and confirm again with "Delete private data".
- Puffin: Open the menu (three dots) and select the gear icon. Now tap on "Clear browser data" and "Clear all" at the bottom.
