- In Outlook, click on "File" and then under "Account information" on the "Add account" button.
- Enter your data in the following window and tick "Configure server settings or additional server types manually". Then click Next".
- You will then be asked to select a service. Click here on "Internet e-mail" and confirm with "Next".
- Now you have to enter the server data. Under "Account type", select "IMAP". The incoming mail server is "imap.mail.me.com" and the outgoing mail server (SMTP) is "smtp.mail.me.com".
- Once you have filled out all the fields, click on the "Further settings" button at the bottom right.
- In the "Outgoing mail server" tab, check "The outgoing mail server (SMTP) requires authentication". In addition, select the option "Use the same settings as for the incoming mail server".
- Since SSL is activated, you still have to configure it. Switch to the "Advanced" tab and enter the value "993" in the "Incoming server (IMAP)" field and select the "SSL" option under "Use the following encrypted connection type". The "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" receives the value "587" and the connection type "TLS".
- Close the window by clicking "OK" and then "Finish". Your email account has now been successfully set up.
