- First, check that you are connected to the Internet. In the "Settings" you will find detailed information about the current connection under "General"> "About".
- To get the full bandwidth, you should not place the WiFi router too far from the Apple TV.
- Likewise, there should be no sources of interference such as microwaves or large plants near the router.
- If possible, you'd better connect a LAN cable because you won't be able to use the full bandwidth of the network via WLAN.
- If that doesn't help, you should reduce the quality of the films. You can do this under "Settings"> "iTunes Store"> "Video Resolution".
- Also try a different HDMI cable and port. This eliminates errors on your television.

Check for an update for your Apple TV to fix the problem:
- Open the "Settings" on your Apple TV.
- Under "General" you will find the item "Update software".
- The Apple TV searches there for available updates.
- If an update was found, you can download and set it up with "Download and install". Wait for the update to complete.
- If the problem persists, you should reset the Apple TV or contact Apple Customer Service.
