Pair Apple Watch with two iPhones - Here's how
If you use two iPhones or want to leave your Apple Watch to someone else, you can also pair the device with two iPhones. We'll show you how it's done.
Use Apple Watch with two iPhones - is that possible?
- An Apple Watch can be used with two iPhones, but pairing is only possible with one device at a time.
- Apple only allows connection to the Apple Watch. To pair a second iPhone, you must first unpair the Apple Watch from the first iPhone. However, a backup is created so that your data and settings are never lost.
- With every iPhone, a new profile is created on the Apple Watch. If you pass your Apple Watch on to other people, this person will not have access to your data, but will set up the Apple Watch for you.
Instructions: Pair Apple Watch with two iPhones
- The first thing to do is to unpair your Apple Watch from the iPhone. The process is completed in a few steps via the iPhone.
- You can then pair your Apple Watch with the second iPhone. The Apple Watch is set up again and all data on the watch is deleted.
- If you want to connect the Apple Watch to the first iPhone again later, you first have to disconnect it from the second iPhone. After the successful connection, the option "Restore from backup" is displayed.
- Depending on the size of the stored data, this process can take between 5 and 30 minutes. The only downside here is using an Apple Watch with two iPhones.
